Objectively, I work in a beautiful store. People come to Glass Tangerine every single day just to walk through and soak in the coziness, the style, and the atmosphere all of us have worked so diligently to create. We want people to feel both at home and as though they’re in a new world. We know trying to start a new hobby or asking for guidance on a project is hard, and our goal is that everyone knows we are a judgement-free zone. But how do we practically make that happen? How is it possible to convey so much of our hearts in a store without having to spell it out? It’s the design.
I am a person that loves to customize my house. When you walk in the door, I absolutely want you to see my personality in my decor style. Glass Tangerine is no different. We are all conveying parts of ourselves in every table display and shelf arrangement, and people notice. Creativity is the true lifeblood of the business, and each and every one of us on staff loves an opportunity to flex our artistic muscles or to help someone else flex theirs. Plant styling is just one way of aiding people in our community with discovering the way they want their space to speak.
Home and business owners alike know that their space is a reflection of their mind. When my house is a mess, my brain is also in disarray. If the display tables get completely demolished over the course of a big sales weekend, it truly stresses us out! Even in a place as serene and green as the shop, we can quickly get sick of looking around if we think it looks messy. We feel as though it’s a bad impression of what we do, because we love to make things beautiful.
I mean come on…Clearly we love making beautiful things.

What I don’t want you to get from this is that a messy or barren home or office is in any way a judgement or determination of your worth. It is NOT. However, a messy home or office can inhibit your own productivity or mental health. But styling a space can be overwhelming and even intimidating; that’s why you have us!

We give you all the information you need to take care of your plants, so you can simply appreciate how good they look. Hey, we survived Mother’s Day. Over fifty buckets of flowers down to zero in three days is kind of insane. That being said, we are back with a full flower bar this week, and a ton of deliveries on the way. Expect new plants, pots, and a little bit of everything to arrive at the shop in the next few weeks. Aren’t you excited?

We are planting on the farm this week! All of our seed starting and tarp laying is finally coming to fruition, and a little thunderstorm or two can’t keep us down. Bobbie and Aspen are there now, embracing their cute flower farmer life. Get ready for farm fresh blooms coming in soon!
