Weddings and events were never a part of the original plan, but sometimes, rather than lemons, life hands you a poorly executed bouquet and a bride that loves your store and needs your help.

When a community comes together for someone it loves, magic is made, and Cookeville does this exceptionally well.

Objectively, I work in a beautiful store. People come to Glass Tangerine every single day just to walk through and soak in the coziness, the style, and the atmosphere all of us have worked so diligently to create.

It is officially Glass Tangerine’s biggest week of the year. We’ve all exchanged a knowing glance and made a joke about a calm, leisurely weekend before running home to soak up as much rest as possible.

There is no doubt—Glass Tangerine has entered its busy season. Actually, busy does not accurately encompass the crazy, constant, exciting few months we’re in.

Clothes shopping can be scary.

Twelve hours. Twelve hours of sweating, lifting, styling, restyling, and problem-solving is what it takes a team of six women to put together an entire store in one day.

“It must be so nice to work here; I feel better just by walking inside.”

Valentine’s Day is over, and baby, we made it.

There is something so exciting about looking at an empty building and knowing you get to transform it.

It’s incredibly difficult being a solid steel trap. Since late last year, it feels like all members of the GT team have been bursting at the seams with secrets threatening to spill at any moment. But we all really like our jobs, and some things just can’t be shared until it’s time.

Houseplants are a strange thing to think about.

I hope you missed us, but miss us no more, because we are back!

Just kidding, everyone is fine, but we have had some concerns.
